Registration is live for our Fall reading groups and yearlong book clubs.

Book clubs are reserved for members.

Pixels & Pages is the Morrin Centre’s hybrid book club. Books for the year are chosen over the summer by book club members.
Meetings are held at 7 p.m. on the third Tuesday of every month (with a pause for the summer), and members can participate online or in person.
The book club is currently full, but there are drop-in spots available at each meeting. Please email library@morrin.org to reserve a spot or get on the waiting list.

Join us for a cozy afternoon chat about books with Morrin Mystery Mondays! We’ll be reading mysteries and other cozies.

The group meets at 1:30 p.m. every last Monday of the month (with a break over the summer).

The books are selected on a month-by-month basis. Email library@morrin.org to learn more or to sign up.

This Fall, the Morrin Centre will be hosting a four-part seminar series on Friedrich Nietzsche’s essay collection On the Genealogy of Morals. Guided by facilitator Greg Campbell, participants will read through the full work and explore its themes through open discussion. To help make the seminar a convivial and ongoing conversation, participants are expected to attend all four sessions. This activity is open to all Morrin Centre members regardless of experience with seminars or philosophy.

Reading poetry can seem like a daunting exercise, but it doesn’t have to be!

Join us for our Reading Poetry workshops, where we’ll answer two simple questions: what are poems made of and what can they do? The aim of these workshops is to give you the tools and vocabulary with which to discuss, think about, and above all, appreciate poetry.

You can attend the workshops in-person or online. Please email library@morrin.org to learn more or to sign up. Drop-ins are also welcome.
