The Literary Feast will take place on Wednesday, November 19, 2025.

The event will start at 5:30 p.m. with a cocktail served in one of the most beautiful libraries in Canada, followed by dinner in the historic College Hall at 6:30 p.m.

Our annual silent auction will also take place during the evening.

A limited number of tickets are available at $275 per person.

A very limited number of tables for two are available on the mezzanine for $550 each.

It is possible to reserve a corporate table for 8 to 10 people.

Keynote Speaker

Dr. JOANNE LIU is a paediatric emergency physician and a professor at McGill University’s School of Population and Global Health, where she focuses on polycrisis and health emergencies. She worked for Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF) from 1996 to 2013. She was the first woman elected International President of MSF, serving two terms from 2013 to 2019.

Through her leadership, she spearheaded the emergency responses to humanitarian and health emergencies including epidemics in West Africa (Ebola 2014-2016) and denounced attacks on hospitals at the United Nations Security Council (UNSC) on May 2016, which lead to the UNSC resolution 2286 on the protection of medical missions and personnel in conflict zones.

Dr. Liu is also a graduate of CÉGEP Champlain St. Lawrence.

Honorary President

Dr. JEAN ROBERT presently serves as Senior Advisor at the McGill University Faculty of Medicine and is the Chairman of the National Battlefields Commission of Canada. Deeply committed to education and community service, he is also the Chairman of the Central Quebec School Board, President of Jeffery Hale Community Partners, past President of the Jeffery Hale Foundation, and a Board Member of the Quebec City English-Speaking Community Foundation.

He represents Canada in the prestigious Morehead-Cain Scholars Program at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, fostering academic excellence and international collaboration. A lifelong educator, Dr. Robert devoted over 35 years to CÉGEP Champlain St. Lawrence, where he retired as Campus Director in 2014. His academic achievements include a doctorate from Université Laval, along with undergraduate and graduate studies at the University of Ottawa, University of Maine, McGill University, and Harvard University. In recognition of his outstanding contributions to public service and education, Dr. Robert was recently awarded the King Charles III Coronation Medal.

His lifelong dedication to learning, leadership, and community engagement reflects the very spirit of the Literary and Historical Society of Quebec and the enduring value of its mission.
