Pixels & PagesBook Club
Pixels & Pages is the Morrin Centre’s hybrid book club. Meetings are held at 7 p.m. on the third Tuesday of every month, and members can participate online or in person.
This month we’ll be discussing The Melancholy of Resistance by László Krasznahorkai.
The Melancholy of Resistance depicts a chain of mysterious events in a small Hungarian town. A circus, promising to display the stuffed body of the largest whale in the world, arrives in the dead of winter, prompting bizarre rumors. Word spreads that the circus folk have a sinister purpose in mind, and the frightened citizens cling to any manifestation of order they can find music, cosmology, fascism.
The book club is currently full, but there are drop-in spots available at each meeting. Please email library@morrin.org to reserve a spot or get on the waiting list.
This book club is reserved for Morrin Centre members.
Pixels & Pages is presented in partnership with La Maison Anglaise
