The Artist
Meika grew up in Toronto with her colourful Jamaican family; that’s where her musical career began. Now living in Quebec City, the dynamic and passionate singer-songwriter and performing artist draws inspiration from Soul, Reggae, and Jazz to create a rich, uplifting musical world that brings people together.
Most recently, she paid tribute to Corneille in a memorable collaborative concert. A finalist in Talent d’Afrique, Meika is currently completing her debut album of original songs. Her captivating voice and magnetic stage presence bring warmth and authenticity to every performance.
Deeply committed to her community, Meika regularly collaborates with the Black History Month Roundtable and several organizations that are close to her heart. Through these local partnerships, she has performed at a variety of venues throughout Quebec City, including Parc Raymond-de Rosa, the Musée de la Civilisation, and Palais Montcalm. Meika’s warm voice and inviting stage presence makes each performance unforgettable.
