Take part in three mixed media workshops and express your own unique visual representation of what being part of a community means! With the help of Louis-Robert Bouchard from the collective Interférences, arts et technologies, using innovative techniques and tools of the digital trade, your own experiences will come to life!
In order to participate in this project, you will have to be able to attend all three workshops.
DIGITAL INTRODUCTION, January 26, 5:30 to 8:30 p.m.
In this workshop, you’ll learn about designing a digital installation as well as the different tools you will use in order to create one. The theme and heart of Visions of Community, the notion of community and its importance to you, will be explored with the help of documentation and the visual representations of other artists who have made similar works of art by using digital tools. MULTIMEDIA DEMONSTRATIONS, February 23, 5:30 to 8:30 p.m.
You will get hands-on experience with digital equipment such as projectors, computers and much more. You will have to decide what components you want to use in the creation of your visual representation. Sign up here for workshop #2
CREATIVE LAB, March 2, 5:30 to 8:30 p.m.
Design and create your final project, taking into account all of the different elements you have discovered over the last two workshops.
Your artwork will be unveiled on March 30, 2017 during a launch party at the Morrin Centre.
