ABC de Foil: An Introduction to Performance Art

This introductory workshop is an opportunity to engage and experiment with performance art in a stress-free and welcoming context. You will get to experience a short performance by the presenters, learn about the history of performance and of various performance practices, in addition to elaborating and taking part in performances of your own.

All materials will be provided. The event will last three hours and will include a short break.

Presenters

Darwin Drolet is a tour guide at the Morrin Centre and has studied visual arts at Université Laval. They write poetry and have a diverse artistic practice that includes watercolour, collage, sculpture, and drawing.

Luc Murray Mercier is a library assistant at the Morrin Centre, a graduate student in English literature at Université Laval and an artist whose practice ranges from performance to painting by way of sound and installation art, dance, and writing.
