Poetry Readings
Join us to listen to poetry readings by three canadian poets!
Shane Neilson will be reading from his current two non-neurotypical works: The Reign (Goose Lane Editions, 2025), a modern fairy tale about a romance between Willard—an intellectually disabled older man—and a deer, as conducted on the expropriated lands that would become CFB Gagetown; and What to feel, how to feel (Palimpsest Press, 2025), a book of lyric essays about fathering a non-neurotypical child while being non-neurotypical.
Geoff Cook will read from his acclaimed translations of German Romanticists as well as his ruggedly lyrical explorations of rural life in Afterwords (Vehicule Press, 2018).
Jim Johnstone will read from The King of Terrors (Coach House Books, 2023), a book of poetry that considers fear, cancer, and beauty.
Thursday, October 2, at 7 p.m.
