Arts Alive Québec! Workshop (Adults)

Freewriting

Morning Workshop --Adults (2 hours)

Word After Word with Carmelita McGrath

Freewriting is a technique for unlocking ideas and images in the mind and getting them out on paper. The workshop leader models a three-step process with timed exercises. This workshop is about creative freedom and is suitable for anyone interested in writing either poetry or prose. Participants will have the opportunity to share ideas and writing from the exercises if they wish to do so. Each will leave not with a finished piece perhaps but with a good start and techniques that can be used over and over again.

Material requirements: paper and pencils or pens for the writers, flip chart or white board and markers for the workshop leader.

Please note: participants will be required to turn off phones, tablets etc. during the workshops.
