We are pleased to announce that our 10th annual fundraising dinner will be presided by Mr. Guy Cormier and that the keynote speaker for the evening will be Mr. Ken Dryden. As part of our tenth anniversary celebrations, we will be hosting a VIP activity in addition to the cocktail and dinner (see below for the schedule and tickets).
Honorary President – Guy Cormier
Guy Cormier has been President and Chief Executive Officer of Desjardins Group since April 2016. Mr. Cormier has been with Desjardins since 1992, and was General Manager of several caisses in the network. He was Vice-President of Cooperative Network Finance from 2009 to 2012, before being appointed Vice-President of Cooperative Network, in 2012, and then Senior Vice-President of Cooperative Network and Personal Services in 2013.
Mr. Cormier has always encouraged audacity, agility and innovation to improve the experience of members and clients. In his role as President, he has been working to provide members and customers a simple, human, modern and performant Desjardins. He is pushing forward the digital transformation of the Mouvement Desjardins and its transition towards mobile technology. He has created a 100-million-dollar fund to support initiatives from local and regional communities.
He is actively involved on a number of boards, including those of the Conference Board of Canada, HEC, and Forces Avenir, in addition to supporting numerous charities.
Keynote Speaker – Ken Dryden
The evening will also feature Ken Dryden, former member of Parliament from 2004 to 2011, who served as cabinet minister from 2004 to 2006. He is well-known for his achievements as a goaltender for the Montreal Canadiens hockey team from 1971 to 1979, during which time the team won six Stanley Cups. In 1984, he was appointed Ontario’s First Youth Commissioner. Dryden is also an officer of the Order of Canada and a member of the Hockey Hall of Fame. He is the author of several bestselling books, including Game Change (2017).

About the Emcee
Susan Campbell was born in Cape Breton, Nova Scotia. She completed journalism studies at the University of King’s College in Halifax.
After a year in the corporate world she came to Quebec City to fulfill a promise she’d made to her Grade 6 French teacher to one day become proficient in her second language. During her studies at Université Laval she was hired as an associate producer at CBC Radio in Quebec City, and she’s been there ever since,
She’s currently host of the CBC’s regional morning show for the province, Quebec AM
