People in Canada’s  North experience long winters, and summers are often long-awaited. Unfortunately, there, summer is also synonymous with ominous clouds of hungry blackflies. For this week’s Storytime, we will read Blackflies by Robert Munsch. Then, we will make much less intimidating-looking bugs with plastic spoons and felt.

Storytime Online is a literacy program for children ages 3 to 7. Each activity begins with the reading of a story followed by a craft inspired by the week’s theme. Our objective is to foster children’s love of reading by providing fun, interactive activities that will encourage them to continue reading after each session.

All sessions are free and take place every Saturday from January 23 through March 27, 9:30 to 10:15 a.m. We are sold out for the winter session; if you would like to participate and purchase your own materials, send us an email.
