Participants ages 16 and up are invited to join us on Saturday, March 10 to explore elemental theatre through a contemporary version of a well-known play from Shakespeare, A Midsummer Night’s Dream.
Through this 2-hour workshop, writer, actor and director, Kevin McCoy, will introduce participants to general acting skills. They will also explore various themes and principles, such as script reading, building characters, and interacting with other actors. Participants will have fun experiencing different acting methods in a playful, improv-based atmosphere. The activity is also a great way to overcome shyness and develop spontaneity.
During the workshop, each participant will be assigned a role as to fully enjoy the lessons. Participants are also asked to bring a shareable, unbreakable prop (a piece of clothing, an object from home, an accessory, etc.).
Please note that this workshop can accommodate a maximum of 35 participants. Registration is required.
